mcoc.app is a free fan-made tier list and daily guessing game (MCOCdle) for Marvel Contest of Champions. There are no accounts and no sign-ups, and we never ask you for your email address or any other contact detail.
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure performance. Both run without cookies: visitors are identified by a hash of the incoming request that is discarded after 24 hours, so browsing cannot be linked across visits, devices or other sites. Each page view records the time, the page and referring page, approximate location (country, region, city) and your device type, operating system and browser. It is aggregated and holds nothing that identifies you.
If you use the roster tracker, the champions and targets you enter are saved in your own browser and never sent to us — we cannot see them, and clearing this site’s data deletes them. So that we know how many people use the tracker, it also sends Vercel Web Analytics three anonymous events: one the first time a browser adds a champion, one the first time each month it is used, and one for each backup code imported. They contain the event name and nothing else — no roster contents and no identifier. Your browser keeps a small note that an event was sent, and that note stays on your device too.
Your guesses, progress, display name and a random player ID are saved in your browser and clearing this site’s data deletes them. When you solve the daily puzzle, the display name, your guess count, the time you solved it and your random player ID are sent to us so you can appear on that day’s leaderboard. That record is visible to other players and is deleted automatically after 48 hours. The game picks a random nickname for you; change it in the profile menu if you like, and use a nickname rather than your real name.
Advertising on this site is served by NitroPay. Ad partners may set cookies and process data about your device and browsing to select, measure and report on ads, including personalised ads. Where the law requires it — the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — you are asked for consent before any of that happens and can change your choice at any time through the same prompt; NitroPay operates it, and their privacy policy governs what their partners collect.
Vercel hosts the site and provides the analytics above; as the host it processes requests, including IP addresses, in order to deliver pages to you, and stores the MCOCdle leaderboard. MCOCdle loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser fetches them. NitroPay and its advertising partners receive data as described above. We are not paid for your data, but some US state laws count ad partners' use of it as a “sale” or “sharing”, which you can opt out of (see below). There is no other third-party tracking.
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal data held about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. The analytics above hold nothing that identifies you, so there is usually no record to retrieve or delete; advertising data is controlled through the consent prompt and by NitroPay. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the footer carries a link to reopen that prompt; in US states with an opt-out right it carries a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link. This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
